Georgian National Committee of the Blue Shield was established by the representatives of Georgian Library Association – member of IFLA, ICOM Georgia, ICOMOS Georgia and National Archives of Georgia – member of ICA.
ICOM (International Council of Museums) is an international organization of museums and museum professionals which is committed to the conservation, continuation and communication to society of the world’s natural and cultural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible.
ICOMOS Georgian National Committee (ICOMOS Georgia) was founded in 1993 as a National Committee of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). It was approved by the ICOMOS 10 th General Assembly in Sri Lanka and is registered at the ICOMOS International Secretariat in Paris.
