First Course of The Heritage Club has Started

On May 16, 2016 the first course of The Heritage Club “Intangible Cultural Heritage – the Basic Concepts and Mechanisms” has started. 25 listeners were selected as a result of competition.

The aim of the course is to increase participants’ knowledge about the basic concepts of intangible cultural heritage, its conservation principles, promotional strategies and protection mechanisms.

Participants will be working on individual projects related to identification, documentation, protection and preservation of any element of Georgia’s intangible cultural heritage.

The Heritage Club was established within the project “Cultural Heritage at Risk – Engaging Civil Society and Media” which is funded by Swedish Institute.
